While not a sighting, I think the following is worth mentioning: If anyone visits Key Biscayne in the future, a stop by the much-improved Crandon Gardens will be worthwhile. Jim King is to be commended for his efforts and Valerie Cassidy continues her daily care for all the ducks and geese.

The Nenes are nesting again, the Eygptian Geese have 4 goslings and the Fulvous Ducks are pairing up. Non-purchased ducks frequently show up, such as Hooded Mergansers, Blue-winged Teal and recently, a female Falcated Teal flew in and finds the resident male quite attractive.

This is a great place to study and photograph ducks and geese. The Gardens entrance is at SW corner of southern-most parking lot.
