Yesterday after not finding the Western Tanager or any other bird of interest at Matheson, I headed to Cape Florida for the Great Cormorant which was quite cooperative this time. I tried for it last week and I saw it several 100 yards offshore, not the best looks. Tues. looks were great.
I tried again today at Matheson for the Western Tanager, but only found 12 Yellow-rump.
I did see a Common Loon on the bay at Matheson which will be my Bird of the day.
