In the past 10+ years they have become urban nesters on and around the University of Miami
campus. I saw one near Eaton Hall last Friday
morning. I had stopped to watch a crocodile
cruising down the center of the Student Union lake.
We had a nesting in a Sabal Palm near the University of Miami Metrorail Station a couple of years back.

: I live at the corner of Killian (104 ST) and 107th Ave. On the 6th of August I saw a white crowned pigeon perched on the telephone pole. Seen it a few times since. Are they expanding their range or is it common in this area (miami community college south)?
