The Great Cormorant previously reported from Bill Baggs State Park was seen again this morning. It flew in from a fishing trip and landed on the rock jetty by the lighthouse around 9:15 and was last seen drying its wings. I also looked for the LaSagra's Flycatcher but had no luck. It was so cold and windy that I didn't even see or hear the common flycatchers, let alone the LaSagra's.

On the way over to Bill Baggs, I stopped off at Crandon Beach to check the shorebirds. I saw Piping, Wilson's, Semipalmated and Black-bellied Plovers, many Sanderling, a few Short-billed Dowitchers, Dunlin, and a single Least Sandpiper. Lesser Black-backed, Laughing, and Ring-billed Gulls were loafing on the beach with Royal Terns, and a few Magnificent Frigatebirds were seen far out at sea. I also had two fly-by Common Loons.
