Considering it's mid-August, Cape Florida is rather birdy. Since Sunday, 12 warbler species have been seen. The usual early migrants have shown up, including: Kentucky, Worm-eating, Louisiana and Northern Waterthrush, Prothonotary and Cerulean (female). A small flock of Eastern Kingbirds came through on 8/9 and many birds can be heard continuing south. Three Limpkins are hanging around, sometimes perching ~30 ft. in the tops of Sea Grapes and Strangler Figs!
