There was a White-crowned Pigeon at Matheson Hammock just to the left as you enter the park. Matheson is located at 9610 Old Cutler Rd, just south of Kendall Dr. (SW 88 St.) There are several fruting fig trees there. Enter the east side of the park at the light and park in the first lot to your left, then walk back towards Old Cutler Rd up the little path and look up for the fruiting trees. This is also a good spot for Short-tailed Hawk, but pretty much anywhere in the Miami suburbs you can get it. Hill Mynas are also in this area, but I see them all along Old Cutler Rd., and recently saw a flock of 23 on SW 67 Ave. and 120 St. in Pinecrest.

There is a nice flock of White-winged Parakeets at the Miami Shores Country Club. I observed them from the intersection of NE 101 St. east and NE 6 Ave. There were in one of the larg ficus trees just inside the golf course to your north, then flew right over me.
