I saw the Western Spindalis this morning at Spanish River Park in Boca
Raton. Vincent Lucas was here also and we all had great looks at it.
Today the bird was located next to picnic shelter number 7. It was
feeding on Snow Berry, this vine has clusters of pea sized white fruit.
Walk into picnic shelter number 7 and go towards the south side or back
side. Look for fruit and listen for the "seep" like call. It does
appear to be a female, very plain. Picnic shelter number 7 can be found
by driving or walking from the entrance booth and turning right at the
first road. Look on your left side for the shelter.
