While I was scouting Matheson Hammock for more potential Kendall CBC birds, I saw and photographed a bright male Western Tanager in the same tree where the Yellow-green Vireo was seen this past autumn (just to the left in the clearing as you enter through the main entrance of the park).

The park, overall, was quite birdy with the following highlights:

American Kestrel
White-crowned Pigeon
Yellow-chevroned Parakeet (6)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (2)
Yellow-throated Vireo (2)
Blue-headed Vireo (2)
Hill Myna (15)
Gray Catbird (2)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (10)
Orange-crowned Warbler
Northern Parula (4)
Prairie Warbler (3)
Palm Warbler (3)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (6)
Yellow-throated Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler (3)
Black-and-white Warbler
Ovenbird
Painted Bunting (3)
