Last year on Oct 26th a Hooded Warbler appeared and stayed till at least March 18th. Well, the bird has returned!!!! This AM I was "phishing and a warbler flock came in, and near the ground and water about 60 ft in dense vegitation ,I saw flashes of bright yellow. I could never get a good look at the bird to confirm it was a male like last year. THe bird began calling and responded to the tape of calls aggressively, never coming back into view. Last year this was a very difficult bird to get views of!!! My "phishing" here is well known to the local Coopers hawk that last year followed a mixed flock and "nailed" a vireo. Today after the Cooper,s came in all went quiet.

If you try for this bird, it is very secretive and has been insensitive over time to taping. THe bird is always within a few feet of the ground, near the water in dense vegitation.

Westin hotel is east of 95 on Cypress creek west, go into the complex bear to the east and park. Bird all around the lagoon area along the fence, at any place around the lagoon the bird may be, although today he was in the northern edge.
