Alex's description of the Egyptian Geese behavior is spot on. There are usually 33-36 in the garden area, with 2 nests being incubated. This species is thriving!

Black Spiny-tailed Iguanas didn't seem to be impacted much by the cold on Key Biscayne and Virginia Key. Do they dig deeper burrows and were able to stay below ground during the worst weather? There are several of these bad boys (as well as all sizes) in Crandon Gardens. At least 1 huge Green Iguana made it through the cold weather and suns himself near the entrance to Arthur Lamb, Jr. Road on Virginia Key.
