The Marbled Godwit was with 6 Willets this afternoon on the west end of Hobie Beach. Red-breasted Mergansers were nearby and close to shore. Though Hobie Beach is usually a reliable spot for Horned Grebes in winter, there weren't any within binocular range this afternoon.

All day, hundreds of Northern Gannets streamed south and close to shore along Key Biscayne. Each time I looked, there were also 1-2 Common Loons flying south. The gannets seem to mill around Government Cut before continuing along the coast.
