In between holiday shopping locales, I squeezed in some birding between 3:00 and 3:45 pm. I managed to find a large wintering passerine flock at the northwestern corner of the horse stables. The flock was composed of 10-15 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Northern Parulas, female Black-throated Blue, Black-and-white, Prairie, and Palm Warblers, and American Redstarts. Two Baltimore Orioles briefly joined the flock. They appeared to both be first year females.
