George White and I headed up there to check out the Horned Grebe (George had been there Tuesday 12/6 and saw it along with a Bald Eagle, both lifers for him). Anyway, he was there in the 1st pond on your right a short walk down from Parking area #1. He dove and came up quite a distance away, but closer to the shore. I have a few shots, but nothing great as the skys were cloudy.

We also saw 2 Snail Kites (female) and got great shots and looks of one eating a snail. Plenty of Palm, Yellow rumped and Pine Warblers. And...

Eastern Pheobe
Northern Shrike
Northern Mockingbird
American Kestrels (lots on Flying Cow Rd)
Kingfishers
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Red Shoulder Hawk
Northern Harrier
Lesser Scaup (only duck we saw)
Cattle, Great Egret
Limpkins
Common Snipe (2)
Common Gallinule and Coots
Dove (common ground and mourning)
Tree Swallows

A good walk in a place that has lots of future potential.
