Per NARBA: 11-25-2011 Boca Chita Key Bahama Mockingbird sighting.

Hello All. I received the following email from NARBA and am unsure of the validity of the sighting:


"New Florida: BAHAMA MOCKINGBIRD -- first sighting: Nov 25
Dale Fitch reported that he and his wife found a Bahama Mockingbird on Boca Chita Key on Nov 25. He said that it was in the area of the fence towers that are at the beginning of the pathway around the island and noted were no white wing flashes while in flight. Overall it was a brownish bird, slightly larger than the Northern Mockingbird. This bird was also quite shy, staying in the undergrowth and low shrubbery. They got to see it out in the open initially for good identification."
