This morning Maria Rodriguez and I found a BROWN-CRESTED FLYCATCHER at a regular wintering spot for this species. It was on the east side of the graded road between the start of Research Road and Gate 13. We also found a nice mixed flock among the overhanging oaks on Royal Palm road. Birds in this flock included: Ovenbird, Northern Parula, American Redstart, "Myrtle," Palm, Prairie, Worm-eating, Black-and-white, Orange-crowned and Black-throated Blue Warblers, Blue-headed Vireo and Summer Tanager.
A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was across from the Flamingo Visitor Center. One of the Vermilion Flycatchers was at its usual spot along 9336, accompanied by a Western Kingbird.
