A 1st winter Bonaparte's Gull was at Dump Marsh today around noon. Also seen were 11 species of duck (Gadwall, Am. Wigeon, Mottled, BW Teal, Shoveler, Pintail, GW Teal, Ring-necked, L Scaup, and Hooded and Red-breasted Mergansers), at least 4 LBB Gulls, 2 Avocets, 2 Dowitchers, 2 Peregrines, 3 Bald Eagles, 23 White Pelicans, 1 Brown Pelican.

The Bonaparte's was spotted by Hugh McGuinness, who yesterday found a Franklin's Gull in Naples.

The Hooded Mergs, Avocets and Dowitchers were in the pond to the east of the front and back ponds (i.e., the pond behind the construction site).
