I started at before sunrise at Lucky Hammock looking for Owls or Lesser Nighthawk, but found neither...I did find good numbers of Sparrows.

I also had several Harriers flying around as well as Sandhill Crane.
One of the Vermilion Flycatchers was being cooperative for photos. I only saw two Scissor-tailed Flycatchers, but while looking I saw a Swainson's Hawk in the grass. I think it is a juvenile bird... I don't recall ever seeing this phase.
I headed to Castello to see and photograph the Rufous Hummer... I saw it once in my binoculars but never got my camera on it. I took photos of Ruby-throats instead.
At Cutler Wetland a single White Pelican arrived. The best time to get looks at all the ducks, herons and spoonies is around 4:30pm as they all come in to roost.
