Garganey is a rather small Anas species. It is the size as a Blue-winged Teal.
In at least one of the pictures, there is a teal (it appears to be a Blue-winged) in the foreground, with the duck in question behind it. This picture offers a size comparison, and the duck looks fairly larger and heavier than the teal.
