Although I didn't see a follow up report since the original post on November 13, I tried for the Rufous Hummingbird in Kendall today. It is still there. I arrived at about 10:30 and saw it for several minutes, in the previously mentioned bush and on a power line behind the yard. It left after about 5 minutes and did not reappear for the next hour (I stayed until I could get better Bulbul pictures). For your convenience, I've pasted below the location as originally posted. And in my case, it was the homeowner in 8805 that I met and was friendly.
at a house located at 8815 SW 83rd Street. The bird was feeding in a bush in the corner of the property between 8805 & 8815. There was an orange flowering bush just behind the fence.
