After briefly consulting some references, including Bolen's article in the Wilson Bulletin, and examing some hybrid photos, I don't see any reason to think the bird is a hybrid.
It had the red eye and proper bill shape. There was nothing funky about the facial pattern. I wondered about the darkish cap, but it is typical of eclipse Cinnamon Teal. The overall coloration was good for eclipse Cinnamon Teal. I did not get a good look at the breast (it spent a lot of time with its head in the water), which is another area to check for signs of hybridization.
The only unusual plumage feature I noticed was the dark undertail coverts, but it would be expected to acquire that in breeding plumage.
