A Dickcissel was photographed coming to a feeder at a private residence here in Collier County. Awaiting word from the property owner as to permission for folks to be allowed to see the bird if it stays for any length of time. Four Aratinga parrots identified as Yellow-headed Parrots coming into roost at dusk in a Naples neighborhood. One of these birds was first photographed in 2006(!) by a friend and now there are four birds total including what looks to be two juveniles. This is a new Collier County bird for me and a first-time ever Collier County [exotic] species record as far as I can ascertain. A Chuck-will's-widow was also seen flying across the road in front of me in the same neighborhood as the parrots.
