Bunche Beach American Golden Plover

This afternoon at 2:30 pm, Ed DeBellevue, a visiting friend from California, found an American Golden Plover as we scanned the shorebirds on Bunche Beach. When first located, the bird stood in the water just off a sand spit. I was able to obtain many photos of the bird. As we watched, the birds flushed and it flew around us several times, showing it's gray underwing and arm pit. The bird moved several times while we were present, showing well. Just prior to our leaving at 3:15, the bird flew east, to the large flats to the left of the parking area as you face the water. I will try to post some pics once I have added them to my blog, but I really don't know how to do this, so it might not work. John Haas
