I went over to Miami-Dade County this morning with my friends Ray & Ruth Covill, snowbirds from MA. At the C-111 Canal area outside of E.N.P. near Lucky Hammock, we found the two Vermilion Flycatchers that have been recently reported. At Lucky Hammock itself, we had a Swainson's Hawk circling above the open fields. On Research Rd. in E.N.P. we found a White-tailed Kite. We dipped on the Rufous Hummingbird at Castellow Hammock and had to settle for a Ruby-throated as a consolation prize . . . .
