Hi, my name is Randy De La Cruz and I am currently a senior at Design and
Architecture Senior High (DASH) in Miami's Design District.
The senior architecture students are currently working on a design project
for Biscayne Bay's Paramount Bay Residencies. As part of my own design, I
thought about including bird feeds and bird baths on the outside terrace.
This will create a friendlier atmosphere and a connection between the
residents and the outside nature of Biscayne Bay, among other things.

The problem is I don't know much about the birds that fly around Biscayne
Bay and how much they will be willing to interact with the bird feeds. I
was hoping that perhaps you all can tell me more about specific bird
species that are present and natural in the area, and if this idea is
bird-friendly or if I am actually causing more harm than I think I am. I
would appreciate it if you reply to this e-mail with some information or
perhaps a source at which I can do further research. Also, the space is
very elevated, perhaps 40 stories high or so...so please take that into
consideration in finding bird species that fly that high.

Even if my design evolves and I choose not to have bird feeds at 430 feet, I would like to know the birds present on a ground level or on the actual bay waters for my own inspiration.

Thank you for your time, I really appreciate it!
