The FAU campus in Boca has a resident population of about 30 Burrowing Owls, which can be found in any grassy undeveloped area (becoming much harder to find) anywhere from the intersection of Glades and the eastern entrance to Spanish River Blvd in Boca. They are easiest to find about 4 PM, guarding their burrows. There are perches and roped-off areas that will indicate burrows. I have always had luck with Barred Owls on the Hungryland Boardwalk as well.
