Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City has Burrowing Owls. When you drive in, go left around the main building and you'll see little areas along the playing fields that are taped off. I went last weekend and there were several unused burrows, but at least 3 very active ones.

Also there is a reliable site for Barn Owls just south of Lake Okeechobee. From Hwy 27 take the dirt road that runs down the west side of the Miami Canal. About 5 miles down it is closed off near a Cypress Hammock (can't miss it). The Barn Owls hang out in this hammock.

Others may be able to give directions from the south, I come there from the north.
