A fellow called into the nature center I direct and reported that a Lawrences Warbler was showing up somewhat sporadically at his feeder in the past several weeks. As you know the Lawrence is a hybrid, and not common to this area even in migration, let alone wintering. But we recently brushed with Hurricane Michelle and so there are some unusuals being reported. I am an experienced birder and gave the fellow a call. After talking to him, it is a possibility, although it would be nice to get someone to verify this bird. Maybe someone from the Everglades Group? In any event I thought it better to pass this one on to your attention. The gentleman whos feeder it comes into on occasion is Michael Dinkin at (561) 833-0302. He lives in West Palm. Thanks.
