Had an intresting day birding. I am still seeing a few Tennessee Warblers hanging around the parking lot where I work. They feed in some young, fruitless Gumbo Limbo trees, picking bugs off the leaves.Don't know if they winter here but I assume they will move on sooner or later. After work, I birded Markham Park from about 2 to 4. Found a fos Savannah Sparrow,a fos Wilson's Snipe,a Western Kingbird, and the usual wrens, harriers, etc. A surprise bird was a Great "White" Heron along the bank of the canal by the dike. Isn't this way out of its range, this far north and in a fresh-water canal?
