Do you remember the day when Larry "the man" Manfredi called to say he had a Male Vermilion Flycatcher at the pump station at the C-111 Canal.... that was awesome!!!!
Thanks Larry for another great find.
I watched the bird for a long while and was able to get fairly close to the bird by allowing it to come to me. It mostly stayed on the fence behind the pump station, but would also go up onto the wires in the area. I notice once when it seemed to disappear that it went down to the water. It isn't all that shy, but likes to keep at least 50-75 feet from people. I shot some video also and will post link to it later.
