We found an American Golden Plover yesterday (12/19) on Research Rd. in the Everglades while doing the Long Pine Key CBC.
The Plover was briefly present near the first substantial amount of water on the S (left) side of Research Rd. (not far from the Iori Bldg.) When the bird flew, its call was heard, and we saw the lack of black in the axillaries, and brownish rump.
