About 10 birders joined me for the TAS Everglades trip today. As a group, we found over 90 species (88 for me). Highlights included:
Four Sandhill Cranes and a Swamp Sparrow near Lucky Hammock.
A Great White Heron and two Baltimore Orioles at the Annex.
Bald Eagle and Short-tailed Hawk at Anhinga Trail, Research Road, and Flamingo, with Short-tailed Hawk also at Paurotis Pond.
Vesper Sparrow at Nine-mile Pond.
American Wigeon at West Lake.
The previously reported Redheads at Mrazek Pond, plus a Gadwall.
American Avocet (4), Wilson's Plover, Western Kingbird, and two more Baltimore Orioles in the Flamingo area.
