We saw a Purple Sandpiper while doing the Miami-Dade CBC this morning. The Purple Sandpiper was on one of the piers of the Rickenbacker Causeway leading toward Key Biscayne. Once you go through the toll booths on the Rickenbacker, bear right and park near the fishing pier (built on the old bridge). The Purple Sandpiper was on one of the feet of the piers of the high bridge. We were about 1/3 of the way out on the fishing pier.
