Hi!
I arrived at Cape Fl between 11:30 a.m. to 11:45. I stayed till 3:00 p.m. I started at the paved road next to the restaurant(No Name Harbor area.)
Near the beginning of the path I only saw a few birds but further down I started running into the large foraging groups of birds. Quite a few were on the asphalt path and I noted small groups flying across the path. I saw several Oven Birds walk across the path. The Black-throated Blues were frequently feeding very low with a good number walking on the ground. I moved slowly when I saw these groups. I continued and then went to the lighthouse area(including the trails South of the lighthouse,) again seeing birds throughout this area. I then circled back and did the Nature Trail and took the connecting path back to the original paved path where I saw Joel and Smith. Smith and I continued back toward the parking lot and I was amazed how few birds there were compared to my initial walk through that area. The wind was definitely brisker than earlier. We walked to the Camp area and after that I left. I did not see a feeding tree like the Trema Tree at A.D. Barnes.
