I emailed John and he was nice enough to call me back quickly with a few more details...
John saw the bird around mid day... He described the bird as a Phoebe with an orangey rufous color on under belly and it sat on top of the Gate at the missile base for around 5-10 minutes. Let's hope the bird hangs around for all to see and maybe for the winter.
I can't chase it this evening, but will be there first thing in the morning.
