Could it be a Sharp-shinned, not a Coopers

I believe the small hawk that has been "terrorizing" my blue jays is a sharp- shinned, not a Coopers. I noted the coloring and the bands on the underside of his tail. He flew over this morning and SAT in the area where my buntings, cardinals and doves and grackles feed. I do hope he can have a tasty tree rat or dove or two...
