Cuban Bullfinch is endemic to Cuba, i.e. isn't found anywhere else except maybe Cayman Islands. There is a reason for that. There is also a pretty extensive cage bird trade in Miami, which includes birds smuggled out of Cuba. I know of at least one instance where a neighbor's of my parents smuggled over 30 small birds on a trip to Cuba. I can only guess at how often this happens. Several people have told me they've seen Cuban Bullfinch's in cage bird gatherings in Miami. I'd still like to see one in the wild and get a photo.
