Spent a quiet cloudy morning at the 'bird show' at the Hammock (details at http://www.tropicalaudubon.org/tasboard/messages/59416.html)
The Busch Wildlife Center folks were outstanding, giving up very up close and personal encounters with Harris Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl, Barn Owl, Kestrel, and my favorite - a very sociable Crested Caracara. These are beautiful birds, all in education because of injuries, and each has a story.
There are lots of un-educating ducks on view there, as well as raccoon, Screech Owl, horses and goats and geese oh-my for the delight of any kids you might want to take. A great experience.
