A Tropical/Couch's Kingbird was reported near Lucky Hammock on 10/14. Couch's Kingbird has never been confirmed in the state because it is nearly impossible to impossible to identify in the field if it does not call.
I am under the impression that the majority of Tropical/Couch's that show up in Florida end up vocalizing at some point for an observer, and those that have so far have been identified as Tropical.
I would try to get a recording of the bird, if possible.
