It was a very rainy morning at Cape Florida, but Tito and I met and hit the spots that were hot on Monday/Tuesday. From 8 to 10AM we managed just 9 warbler species...not quite what I was hoping for, but a fun morning none-the-less. Cape May Warblers were the most abundant warbler for me behind Palm Warbler. To provide another comparison to previous days, I saw only 5 Yellow-billed Cuckoo and no buntings. I may be the only birder in the county not to see a Bay-breasted Warbler this fall.

Ovenbird (6)
Black-and-white Warbler (2)
Common Yellowthroat (5)
American Redstart (4)
Cape May Warbler (12)
Northern Parula (5)
Black-throated Blue Warbler (7)
Palm Warbler (26)
Prairie Warbler (2)

A flock of 10 Blue-winged Teal flew by too. I'm sure there were more birds, but the wind and rain were probably keeping some of them down. We ran out of time to cover the entire park, so maybe others can dig up some goodies today.
