What about an American Pipit showing up around this time? Today in the FIU preserve, I spotted a thrush-like bird. I positioned myself and at first glance there was black spots like a Swainson's thrush/Gray-cheeked thrush and a dark cheek like a gray-cheeked thrush, but the rest of the head looked strange. I knew it wasn't a Swainson's. It had a light color supercillium beginning at the eye heading back to the neck and a light colored moustachial stripe with a dark cheek. It was found perched on multiple trees. I concluded gray-cheek thrush but it looked off. So I checked a field guide and it looked more like an American Pipit. I don't know, maybe I have fall-out madness. Oh and one more thing, the dark spots seemed much more prominent than any thrush species I've seen so far.
