Denise and any one else who may be wondering. The easiest and best birding has been on the bike trail which is the paved road that runs next to the restaurant at the marina. After entering the park make your first right and drive slowly as birds have been flying out in front of cars, the parking lot and marina is at the end of the road. Start there and enjoy all the birds, before you know it you will be at the soutern tip of the Key watching birds next to the historic Cape FL Lighthouse. Make sure to also walk the shell trail which runs parallel to the bike trail. Just take one of the shell roads that intersect with the bike trail. Have fun :)
