A short visit to Matheson this morning and a brief one to KIH in the afternoon made me reminisce of the Great Fallout of '03 (or was it '04?...Toe???).

Matheson Hammock, morning (east side, from the Yellow-Green Vireo spot to halfway between the restrooms and the south parking lot):

Bay-breasted Warbler - (4 or 5)
Blackburnian Warbler - 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 1
Black-throated Green Warbler - 1
Yellow-throated Warbler - 2
Prairie Warbler - 3
Tennessee Warbler - a couple
Black-and-white Warbler - a few
Northern Parula - several
Palm Warbler - quite a bit
American Redstart - loads
Black-throated Blue Warbler - a whole bunch
Ovenbird - 3
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - a dozen or so
Scarlet Tanager - 1
Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1
Baltimore Oriole - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - Dozens
White-eyed Vireo - 1
Indigo Bunting - a dozen or so
Gray Catbird - 2
Peregrine Falcon - 1
plus several other of the more common species, plus a constant light rain.

Kendall Indian Hammocks, afternoon (standing in just one spot, live oak trees across from the school and east of the ball fields):

Bay-breasted Warbler - 3
Black-and-white Warbler
Northern Parula
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
Summer Tanager
plus a constant light rain

Not too shabby.
