I was hating work today. Wished I was birding. What incredible bird lists by everybody. The number of Yellow-billed Cuckoos being seen is incredible.

I had to settle for looking out my window at work (kept my binoculars by my side) and managed to get Prairie and Palm Warblers and a female Summer Tanager in the oak trees in the parking lot.

During lunch parked at a weedy lot near work and had at least 20 Indigo Buntings and 3 Blue Grosbeaks. They were all brown birds, some with splashes of blue, and feeding on a plant that looks like reddish wheat. Also a male Spot-breasted Oriole showed up.

On the way home saw 20 White-crowned Pigeons together on a wire on Sunset Dr. getting soaked in the rain.
