Would love to go to Cape Florida today, but it's too far with a scooter and constant rain. Instead went in the backyard and saw some birds. The very first was a female hooded catching bugs in the carport. Next the elderberry had a nice RB grosbeak, with fall plumage but a perfect red breast. It has been going back and forth between the elderberry and the mamey tree for a few hours now. Herd a few vireo calls off and on, but didn't spot any. Lots of other stuff in the yard, but nothing unusual. Mrs. redstart has been the most numerous today and yesterday.
