Many Palm Warblers in the trees and also on the ground at Hoechoka Hammock. Good 1/2 inch rain Thursday night and another good rain this early morning. Cooper's Hawk still in the area and mottled duck numbers holding at 45+. Ibis numbers increasng up to 35 today (white). Osprey has moved into its territory. Cottontail rabbit still present but the wood ducks have moved on. Mourning doves are increasing daily and white winged numbers are dropping. Black and White warblers last Sunday in good numbers but gone by Monday so probably down south by now. Catbirds and painted buntings are here but still reticent. Several teachers reported seeing gray fox on the grounds this week but that is not confirmed.
