Winds shifted to the NW around 1:30 last night according to NOAA, then came to the N and are currently NNE. This not only helped the birds that were aloft keep going, but probably gave the birds that were already here a qeue to take off.
Carlos is at KIH right now and says his bird of the day will probably be Palm Warbler (ugh). In his own words: "It kinda s-u-c-k-s actually."
