Hi Folks,

Lots of mosquitos at the hammock this morning, but a few interesting birds to make it worhtwhile. I heard a Mangrove cuckoo while walking along the Nature Trail. Later, one would fly over my head as I walked past the small tool shed along the main road. Two Black-whiskered vireos sang most of the time I was there. One was across the pit from the nature trail and one was along the main road. Singles of Black-and-white warbler and redstart represented the migrant warblers this day. Did I mention that the mosquitos were numerous. I actually had to use bug spray. Bryant Roberts I am not.

The interesting thing about this day is that I was here from 0825 to 0915, a little late but still productive. The next day, on a Big Day, I was present from 0600 to 0651, theoretically prime time for breeding residents, and I got nothing. Go figure.
