I spent almost 2 hours looking up, hoping to see and photograph the Yellow-green Vireo. I was there with about 5-6 others mostly watching Red-eyed Vireos fly in and out of the Strangler Fig with the fruiting vine. There was also a Black-whiskered Vireo in the mix to help break things up.
We had one bit of excitement when a Dark Morph Short-tailed Hawk dove into the tree and grabbed something and flew to a nearby perch, hidden from view presumably eating its catch. I stayed another hour, but decided to leave in the hope that my sacrifice would produce the bird for the others. Hopefully so!
