Blue-gray gnatcatchers, prairie warblers, black and white, warblers and black throated blue warblers at Hoechoka Hammock, also black vultures are streaming south on a cross wind. Several hawks passed over also, red-shouldered and three others I didn't get a close enough look. But we have had cooper hawks in the area. More mottled ducks have arrived and the three wood ducks are fully fledged and fly in and out to feed. We are hearing painted buntings but none actually seen yet.

The rain guage measured 5.5 inches of rain since last night with a prodigious fall at 3:30 this morning.
