Further down at Mahogany Hammock painted biuntings were visible. Mrazek had a small flock of ducks being buzzed by a hawk. The morning sun and glare on the water made ident difficult on both. But the ducks moved from place to place and didn't take flight. Vultures were not a problem and very few people around. One "grounded" osprey present. (See post below for details.) Campgrounds empty. Several kestrels and cowbirds as well as kingfisher were scoped. Overall, not a great from a photographers perspective so we celebrated with late lunch at Royal Castle on 79th and remembered "old Florida."
